Abu Dhabi-based global agricultural company Al Dahra has entered into a partnership agreement with Al Marzoom Reserve, a distinctive wildlife sanctuary spanning 923 square kilometers in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The collaboration aims to enhance the conservation efforts for local flora and fauna species, including desert rabbits, antelopes, Houbara Bustards, and the Karawan, a small desert bird also known as the Stone Curlew.
This partnership, formalized during the Adihex event, is geared towards safeguarding the desert wildlife of the UAE and promoting sustainable development in the region. Al Dahra will provide both financial and technical support to Al Marzoom Reserve to assist in implementing its conservation initiatives.
Arnoud van den Berg, Group CEO at Al Dahra Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, making it a natural fit to support Al Marzoom in its conservation mission. He stated, “Sustainability is a core value at Al Dahra. It is at the heart of every decision, every framework and policy we work on.”
Ahmed Sultan Obaid Hayai Al Mansoori, Director of the Al Marzoom Hunting Reserve, expressed the reserve’s dedication to preserving heritage, flora, and fauna, while fostering harmony with nature for future generations. He praised Al Dahra as a partner who shares these values and is committed to supporting their mission.
This partnership between Al Dahra and Al Marzoom represents a significant stride in conserving Abu Dhabi’s natural environment. Both organizations are united in their determination to protect the region’s unique wildlife and safeguard its natural heritage.
