al maria i.Abu Dhabi’s business and lifestyle destination, will open The Ripe Market, a community-led platform to support local businesses, from 2 December 2022 until 29 April 2023.
The outdoor market will be held in the island’s South Plaza every Friday and Saturday from 3pm to 10pm. It will include stalls showcasing locally made retail products and will also host a range of entertainment such as live cooking stations and arts and crafts, as well as live performances.
The initiative aims to foster community support for local businesses and artisans offering a wide range of goods and clothing, and to help local entrepreneurs promote their brands.
Ali FekriMubadala, Senior Vice President, UAE Investments, said: “Supporting local businesses and engaging with local communities is an important part of the continued growth of Al Maryah Island and Abu Dhabi. Ripe Market provides a platform where local brands and concepts can flourish, dramatically increasing family and lifestyle choices on the island.”

Al Maryah Island will also celebrate the 51st UAE National Day with fireworks on 2-3 December 2022.
