Abu Dhabi – Al Masaood Power Sector, part of one of Abu Dhabi’s leading business groups, Al Masaood Group, is presenting its latest UAE-built smart charging solution SHAMS+ (SHAMSPLUS) at the Environment and Development Forum (EDF) 2022. SHAMS+, the first innovative solution fully manufactured in the UAE, is a proven solar charging solution for electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid ships.
The Environment and Development Forum, a precursor to the COP27 summit, begins today, September 11, and ends on September 13, 2022, at the Intercontinental City Star in Cairo, Egypt, with the participation of various national, regional and international affiliates.
During the event, Al Masaood Power highlighted the importance of innovative technologies such as SHAMS+ as an important solution to decarbonize the transport sector, in line with its commitment to promote green transport and help achieve the UAE’s net-zero emissions strategy by 2050.

SHAMS+ is a multi-user charging and solar solution for electric vehicles (EVs) including cars, buses, trucks and boats that meets all the charging needs of the mobility industry while being sustainable and environmentally friendly. This cordless, off-grid and high-power DC solar charging system is an ideal solution for marine docks, deserts, farmlands, interstate highways, and can also be implemented in cities. With a smart internet-based universal charging enterprise, the solution will provide sustainable charging via solar energy at a charging speed of up to 25 minutes.
In addition, the internet-based smart SHAMS+ charging station consists of a DC fast charger with dual sockets, two battery energy storage systems, a solar photovoltaic power station, and power distribution and control systems, all of which meet appropriate sustainability standards. In addition, it has automatic matching of voltage fluctuations for stable charging.
