Al Qubaisi family to compete for Abu Dhabi racing car and Prema in Asian Formula Championship

Motorsport in the region continues to strengthen as it announces that the Abu Dhabi Racing Team, in partnership with PREMA Racing, will field three cars for the upcoming Asian Regional Formula Championship (formerly known as Formula Asia 3), with the first round of the race in Asia Held near the Docklands Raceway.

The entry will feature three cars for the UAE racing family of Khaled al Qubaisi, Amna Al Qubaisi and Hamda Al Qubaisi. Returning to the series after his debut last year, accomplished GT racer Khaled Al Qubaisi will start with his two daughters from the opening round at their home, Yas Marina Circuit. There will also be three rounds in Dubai this season, where Al Qubaisi won last year’s 24 Hours.

Returning to the series, 21-year-old Amna Al Qubaisi will be in the series’ second season. She’ll be racing alongside her 19-year-old brother Hamda, who has had an impressive season in the 2021 Italian Formula 4 Championship and has an overall podium to her name. This will be her first competitive outing in the challenging local Formula Tatuus machinery.

Abu Dhabi Racing, an initiative to strengthen the emirate and become an awesome name in motorsport, is supported by top partners Strata, Kaspersky and its latest partner Kapci Paints.

We have worked with Khaled, Amna and Hamda many times over the years and it will be special to bring them all together this time. We are also part of the Asian Regional Formula Championship. A staunch supporter. We had a very positive experience last year, so we’re looking forward to another competitive season.”

The Asian Formula Championship kicked off at Yas Marina Circuit on the 21ststone January followed by three rounds in Dubai before returning to the Abu Dhabi circuit on the 18th for the final roundth In February, the Asian Le Mans Series.
