Catch your favorite movie stars under the stars…
We’ve always found that watching a movie outdoors enhances the already pretty powerful magic of movies. Maybe it’s the backdrop of the natural world juxtaposed against the imaginary world on the screen, maybe it’s a sense of grounding, inserted into something beyond the physical – or maybe it’s just the joy-popcorn-core picnic adventure of it all. Whatever it is, this very special experience is now available across multiple venues in Abu Dhabi – with mild winter temperatures and cloudless skies. Ladies and gentlemen, mute your phone, be seated…the story is about to begin.
Matinee by WB Abu Dhabi
One of our favourite and most exotic ways to see an open-air movie in the capital – at WB Abu Dhabi, is now back. The Bathing box office roster includes classics from the great and mighty Warner Bros. nostalgic vault. Later this week, there’s a chance to watch vintage Harry Potter action films and Teen Titans films. You can take on the “Don’t Get Soggy Popcorn” challenge with screenings every night between 7 and 9 pm. It’s also not just reserved for in-house guests — anyone with a day pass can get in on it. For a weekday adult it’s Dh150, but you can get a hefty Dh100 out of it for food and beverage consumption, and it’s Dh50 for kids aged 4 to 12. AED 250 for weekends (AED 150 back) and AED 75 for children.
