All the music, food and fun of this Abu Dhabi Lantern Festival and Moon Festival

[ad_1]

This will be the fifth time the festival will be held in Shangri-La, Abu Dhabi…

The Lantern Festival is an important day in the Chinese and Vietnamese calendars. It is traditionally a day to express gratitude and blessings for the autumn harvest.

If time is tight, it is also called “Mid-Autumn Festival”, “Moon Cake Festival” or “Mid-Autumn Festival” for short. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month in the Chinese lunar calendar. At that time, people thought the moon was the brightest and signaled to the people below that it was time to harvest the crops.

Although it is not in any field, the Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi is committed to sowing the seeds of authentic Southeast Asian culture. This weekend, it will host the fifth Lantern Festival in the capital-bringing a carnival of colors, music and festive food to its home on the Khor Al Maqta waterfront.

The official date of the festival is September 21st this year, but Shangri-La is still ahead of it, bringing you a well-planned pair of family-friendly Asian banquets on Friday, September 17th.

Go to the moon and come back

The fully immersive experience starts with brunch and will be held in the hotel restaurants of Shang Palace, Hoi An and Sofra from 1 to 4 pm.

Here, diners can indulge in a variety of authentic Eastern (and some classic Western) flavors, and the on-site cooking station and the sweet serenade of the violinist contrast with each other. Let the children enjoy the cute lantern making and chocolate workshop. Presumably not at the same time, no one wants to put on stained light ornaments. The soft deal is 279 dirhams, the house is 349 dirhams, and the bubble is 459 dirhams.

Next is the Mid-Autumn Festival Dinner, which will be held between 6pm and 11pm. You can enjoy more exquisite dishes and celebrations for only AED 188. Dhs60 housing beverage bolt is optional. Children from 6 to 12 years old are half price, and children under 6 years old are free.Member of Shangri-La Golden circle Loyalty programs (available to join for free) receive 25% of these two dining experiences.

You can also bring Moonlight home. You can purchase a box of 4 Shang Palace moon cakes for Dh288 before September 21.
