Almosafer and Saudi Tourism Authority expand partnership

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) has signed another partnership agreement with leading travel company Almosafer to promote inbound tourism in Saudi Arabia through various businesses under the Almosafer umbrella.

Almosafer, through its consumer arm, will facilitate inbound tourism from the GCC to the Kingdom under the agreement signed during the Arabian Travel Market 2023 in Dubai. Almosafer will also promote inbound travel to B2B clients in the MENA region through Hajj and Umrah tour operator Mawasim and destination management company Discover Saudi.

The agreement was signed by Fahad Alobailan, Chief Tourism Officer, Almosafer, and Munirah Abanomy, Head of Marketing Partnerships, Middle East and Africa, Saudi Tourism Authority, at the Saudi Pavilion of the Arabian Tourism Market.

Fahad Alobailan, Chief Tourism Officer, Almosafer, said: “We continue to build on our longstanding relationship with STA as we work together to achieve the goals of Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia, with its incredible array of cultural, natural, historical and religious attractions, is attracting more and more International tourists. We have seen a significant increase in demand for inbound tourism to the Kingdom and we will continue to play a role in driving this continued growth.”

Abdulkarim Aldarwish, President Middle East and Africa Markets, Saudi Tourism Authority, said: “The Saudi Tourism Authority is eager to enter into fruitful agreements and strategic partnerships with the Kingdom’s leading tourism companies. Partners in the private tourism sector empower and drive business growth.Through our agreement with Almosafer, we aim to attract tourists from regional markets, offer exceptional and diverse products, offers and packages, and promote unique travel destinations throughout the year and the Kingdom’s international activities.”

The agreement follows the recent announcement that Almosafer is partnering with STA to boost domestic tourism and builds on an already established partnership in which the parties have collaborated on various successful initiatives to boost tourism in Saudi Arabia industry development.

As the national tourism leader in Saudi Arabia, Almosafer is supporting the Saudi Vision 2030 tourism agenda, which aims to grow tourism to account for 10% of Saudi GDP and welcome 100 million tourists a year. – trade arab news agency
