Alveo Technologies, a US-based provider of cutting-edge molecular testing and cloud-based data analysis, has won this year’s inaugural Medlab Middle East Laboratory Entrepreneur Competition. Alveo also received a three-month mentorship program with Middle East Venture Partners and a free exhibit space at Medlab Middle East in 2024.
The Startup Competition aims to provide a platform for the most exciting medical laboratory start-ups from around the world. After an intensive presentation process on the final day of Medlab Middle East, where eight companies took to the stage to showcase their latest innovations addressing the challenges of the medical laboratory industry, Alveo Technologies stood out.
The company has developed be.well, a dynamic molecular diagnostic platform focused on acute respiratory infections, including Covid-19, Flu A/B and RSV, which can be used to detect all the ways in which multiple diseases, bacteria and other pathogens threaten public health.
