first Official Trailer for Harry Styles‘ my police It’s finally here, and it’s giving a wider view of what the highly anticipated drama needs to be.
Harry plays a Chamber of Secrets officer named Tom who struggles with his feelings David Dawsonrole, Patrick. The film is set in England in the 1950s, when homosexuality was banned.
Trailer follows Tom getting married Emma CollinMarion tries to fit in while having an extramarital affair with Patrick. At one point Marion was shown spying on the two men as they shared a tender moment, later telling Tom Patrick was “trying to ruin our marriage”. Meanwhile, Patrick tries to convince Tom to stop hiding his true identity.
Other flashes show Tom and Patrick fighting, longing for each other, holding hands, kissing and hugging on the bed. The trailer mirrors these moments with scenes from Tom and Marion’s life.
It is deduced in the trailer that Marion defeats Patrick, who is then punished for his sexuality. Another brief scene focuses on police uniforms burning on a small bonfire on the beach.
The trailer also jumps to ’90s versions of Tom, Patrick and Marion – each by Linus cockroach, Rupert Everett and Gina McKee – Accept the consequences of their affair years ago.
