To mark the 131st anniversary of Babsaheb Ambedkar’s birth, Ambedkar Global is hosting an event in Dubai, an international organisation to spread the teachings of Dr. BR Ambedkar around the world. Dr. Santosh Kumar Suman, Cabinet Minister of the Government of Bihar, India was the main guest. Tadu Mamu, IFS and Labour Consul, Consulate General of India in Dubai; Uma Shankar Singh, former JNU student leader, attended the event as a guest.
Dr Suman said: “Dr. Ambedkar’s teachings are still very important globally. Everyone needs equality. We are working hard to achieve this in Bihar. The national government and people must work together to achieve Bababasahb’s dream.”
Dr Suman also appreciated the contributions of Biharis living abroad to the cause, citing www.AmbedkarGlobal.com as an example. Mamu also addressed the attendees and urged everyone to spread the ideology of Baba Bhemrao. Many social leaders from India who worked for social progress were also congratulated. Ambedkar Global is an international organization founded by Dubai-based community leader Ravi Chand. Speaking of the event, Chand said: “Dr Ambedkar’s ideas belong not to one part of society, but to all. He is the ideal leader for all Indians. Our vision is to spread awareness globally , we are working hard to develop courses on Ambedkar and Ambedkar chairs of various ubiquity around the world.”
