Ba:TE By Wawa Dining has opened at Anantara Oriental Mangroves
Abu Dhabi gets a taste of Japan thanks to Ba:TE at Wawa Dining. Located within the Anantara Oriental Mangroves Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the new restaurant embraces nature-inspired cuisine and serves it in a chic, upscale setting. Now that we’ve got our first look at the new locations, here are some restaurants to look forward to.
The premise of Wawa Dining’s Ba:TE is Japanese-influenced, with calligraphy on the walls, lighting that resembles chōchin lanterns, and a curved roof that’s stylish in the style of karaha fu. The restaurant will also feature JUMAK Bar, an art, music and dance venue inspired by the social clubs of old Yangban culture. Nobles, government employees, and military officers who understood and valued the art of living were drawn to Yangban, once favored by South Korea’s ruling elite. Featuring bar seating, high tables and stools, JUMAK Bar will become a vibrant entertainment area where patrons can relax while enjoying food and drinks.

What dishes are there?
Far Eastern traditions emphasizing natural ingredients and traditional Japanese cuisine influenced by Peru and Korea are at the heart of Ba:TE’s menu. TE So far we’ve seen a variety of food, including wholesome rice and fresh sashimi cooked in clay pots called Sotbab. In addition, there are other modern Japanese dishes and specialty desserts.
