Andrew Lloyd Webber believes Queen Elizabeth has been a “source of stability” during her reign.
The 74-year-old composer paid a warm tribute to the late monarch, who was buried in Windsor on Monday night (09.19.22).
He said: “It was a day that was almost indescribable and it was overwhelming.
“I think she’s been a source of stability in the world at a time when the world has been unstable, and let’s face it, it’s very unstable. So, that’s how stable she is.
“What the Queen has done over the past 70 years is absolutely amazing and I think her love, especially for the Commonwealth and her belief in that, I know she very much wants to continue because her love comes from the absolute Every background, every race, creed, color, whatever. She just loves people.”
The “Phantom of the Opera” composer also opened up about his “special” relationship with the Queen, which included writing the song “Sing” in celebration of the jubilee.
Speaking of “Entertainment Tonight,” he recalled: “We put together a choir of racers – it wasn’t the best choir I’ve ever had, but we put it together and she Come to the house and we sing for her.”
Managers are also keen to reflect on their memories of the monarch.
He said: “Today is really about thinking about what this extraordinary woman has accomplished in her reign and what she really means to so many people.
“I was in New York last week and I couldn’t believe how many people came up to me on the street and were visibly moved, and I think that in itself shows what she really means, not just for the UK but for the world.”
