Anthony Fauci says the only way out of this pandemic is to get vaccinated-News

[ad_1]

The White House’s chief medical adviser said that the new coronavirus is far from being “controlled” in the United States

White House Chief Medical Adviser Anthony Fauci expressed concern on the rise in Covid-19 cases on Thursday, saying that the deadly epidemic is far from “controlled” in the United States.

Fauci reiterated that the only way to get out of this pandemic is to get vaccinated. “At the moment, we are still in pandemic mode because we have 160,000 new infections every day. This is not even a moderately good control,” The Hill quoted Fauci as saying.

“In a country like ours, you can’t get 100,000 infections a day. You must be well below 10,000 before you start to feel comfortable,” he said in an interview with AXIOS.

As of September 9, the average daily average number of new coronavirus cases in the United States was slightly less than 1,48,000, a 5% drop in 14 days.

According to Hill, the number of hospitalizations nationwide has also increased by 1% during the same period, bringing the average number of hospitalizations per day to more than 100,000.

Earlier this month, after the Delta variant caused severe damage in the country, the United States planned to provide booster injections for Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also warned Americans again, requiring them to wear masks when entering buildings, even if they are vaccinated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been more than 40 million recent Covid-19 cases in the United States, with more than 4 million cases reported in the past few weeks.

Since the beginning of summer, Covid-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths have generally increased in most parts of the country due to the spread of the highly contagious Delta variant.According to a report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, low vaccination coverage in many communities is driving these increases

As of September 8, 2021, a total of 40,523,954 Covid-19 cases have been reported.
