Antonio Brown isn’t done talking about his experience with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! His abrupt exit from the team earlier this month is still a moment folks continue to talk about. During an interview with Bryant Gumbel, AB made a huge allegation about the team, who recently ended their season with a loss against the Los Angeles Rams.
While being interviewed by Bryan Gumbel, host of “Real Sports with Bryan Gumbel,” AB admitted taking Toradol shots from the Bucs’ medical staff to alleviate some of the pain he was experiencing with his ankle injury. However, the NFL baller said it also made him unaware of the damage he was doing to his ankle. According to WebMD, if you’re not familiar with the drug, Ketorolac injections are used for the short-term relief of moderately severe pain in people who are at least 17 years of age.
As the conversation continued, AB alleged that the team offered him $200,000 to go to the “crazy house.” While sitting next to his attorney, Sean Burstyn, he clarified AB’s offer saying, “The offer was Antonio would basically sit on the sidelines, go on some list and commit himself to some form of intensive mental health treatment, and we were specifically told in writing by the general manager twice, ‘Don’t spin this any other way.'”
Bryan then followed up, asking AB if he had any mental health issues, which AB quickly declined. “I have mental wealth. A lot of people may not understand me or know how I look at things or don’t know how I react emotionally to things,” he said. “It’s not for them to understand me. I have a beautiful family and kids across the world who look up to me.”
