Arctic monkeys to headline Glastonbury entertainment in 2023

[ad_1]

The Arctic Monkeys have reportedly signed to headline Glastonbury for 2023.

They are said to have started preparations for the show, which will be their third time at the festival and 10 years since their last appearance on the festival pyramid stage.

A source told The Sun on Monday night (26.09.22): “Alex Turner and the band will be back at Glastonbury and this time they will be bigger and better.

“The lads have signed on the dotted line and will be back in the pyramid next June.

“It’s really special for them to do a hat-trick on that stage, something they’ve been wanting to do for a while.

“After the festival dates coincided with their upcoming tour, they said they couldn’t play there anymore.

“The band is building their team and are committed to making their performance one of Glastonbury’s most memorable.”

The group, along with frontman Alex, 36, including guitarist Jamie Cook, 37, bassist Nick O’Malley, also 37, and drummer Matt Helders, 36, announced their UK and Ireland presence last week.

But they have left a hole in a date that coincides with Glastonbury 2023, which will take place from 21 to 25 June.

Their tour will begin in May 2023 with two big Homecoming shows at Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park.

Supporting the entire tour are The Hives and The Mysterines, and the band’s new album “The Car” will be released on October 21st, featuring the singles “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” and “I Ain’t Quite” I think where am I’.
