As the Haitian immigration crisis escalated, Sunny Hostin questioned the actions of the current government

[ad_1]

So far, many people know what happened on the southern border, because recent images and videos show the aggressive attitude that Haitian migrants face in the hands of border patrol agents. Many celebrities have been posting heartbreaking images on their platforms while expressing their support for Haitian immigrants.

One person who received attention because of their thoughts on the situation was “The View”, co-host Sunny Hostin, who explained why this situation is so close to her home.

On Tuesday’s program, Sonny said: “I think the U.S. policy towards Haiti has always been corrupt. It doesn’t have to be that way, because we know that the U.S. can do it, there are ways to do it, but it’s just not willing to do it.”

She continued, “The United States and the White House have promised to bring 95,000 Afghans here. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be brought here. They should be brought here. This is the country’s promise. But if you can bring 95,000 Afghans were sent here. Why did you fly eight or six Haitians back to a destroyed county?”

Sonny mentioned that the policy of expelling immigrants and refugees from the United States began with the Trump administration, adding that Haitians have no equal opportunities.

She explained that this matter is her personal business, because her husband is Haitian.

See what she said below:

As we are Before According to reports, because of the heartbreaking photos and videos showing how Haitian immigrants are being processed at the border, the White House made a speech and stated that the alleged use of whips against immigrants is unacceptable.
