Ascott wins top honor at World Travel Awards

CapitaLand’s wholly-owned lodging business unit, Ascott Ltd. (Ascott), has been awarded the highest accolade for Saudi Arabia’s “Leading Serviced Apartment Brand” at the 2022 World Travel Awards.

Six Ascott properties in the region were also recognized as the “Leading Serviced Apartments 2022” in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Turkey and India.

The winners of the annual World Travel Awards are voted for by travel professionals and business and leisure travelers around the world and are recognized globally as a symbol of industry excellence. This year’s prestigious accolade marks Ascott’s sixth consecutive year as Saudi Arabia’s leading serviced apartment brand.

In addition to awards in the regional and national categories, six of Ascott’s hotels received the highest recognition for their outstanding performance and outstanding hotel service.

The iconic Ascott Park Plaza Dubai has cemented its position as the UAE’s leading serviced apartments, named “UAE’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2022”; marking the stylish hotel’s fifth win on the awards platform . Ascott Rafal Olaya Riyadh has won the ‘Leading Serviced Apartments in Saudi Arabia 2022’ award for the third consecutive year, while Citadines Village Dubai has been highlighted as the ‘Leading Serviced Apartments in Dubai 2022’ within a year of opening, showcasing Impressive winning brand.

In Türkiye, Ascott also received first-class accolades, earning Somerset Maslak Istanbul the title of “Türkiye Leading Serviced Apartments 2022” for the fourth time in a row. The property is home to business and leisure guests from all over the world, offering them the perfect recluse for a balanced lifestyle.

The brand’s big win came with the launch of Ascott’s first hotel in Kenya in March this year, “Somerset Westview Nairobi”, which was awarded the regional title of “Africa’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2022”. Located in a prestigious community, the property has the most comprehensive range of lifestyle and business facilities in the city, including residents’ lounge, rooftop lounge, swimming pool, gym, meeting rooms, children’s playroom and Nairobi’s latest jazz vibe and delicious snacks – ‘La Mascotte’, a contemporary bistro restaurant.

Ascott has won two prestigious awards at the same time – Somerset Greenways Chennai has been named “India’s Leading Serviced Apartment 2022” for the fourth consecutive year, and Somerset Serviced Residence has been awarded “India’s Leading Serviced Apartment Brand 2022”.
