Terry, who specializes in police misconduct cases, believes that the police officer did not give Ashley a verbal warning before being fired and ambushed her. Terry further stated, “This is not controversial. There is no warning. I will call what he did an ambush. I don’t think he is a good official. I think he is reckless.” Currently, the identity of the police officer who shot Ashley has not been identified. Nonetheless, as we reported in January after her death, the official was put on administrative leave.
As soon as the news came out, because people did not agree that she was ambushed, Ashli’s name quickly became popular on Twitter. A Twitter user wrote: “AshliBabbitt’s family is filing a negligent death lawsuit for $10 million, claiming that she was ambushed. When you and a group of terrorists broke into the Capitol and then tried to jump over a damaged How can you be ambushed when you go to the window to contact members of Congress? Damn it!”
