Atelier House to open second Mohalla outlet in Saudi Arabia

Atelier House Hospitality has announced the opening of a new branch of Mohalla, a Dubai-based Indian street food concept store scheduled to open in Riyadh Frontline, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in December 2022.

This strong boutique hotel company is led by Managing Director Panchali Mahendra, who is known for successfully launching, opening and operating bespoke restaurant concepts both regionally and internationally, including the recent Michelin star and the acclaimed 11 Woodfire, an award-winning Award-winning Marea opens TIDES Bar in DIFC and RSVP, a new contemporary French restaurant in Boxpark, Dubai.

Atelier House Hospitality has successfully launched the brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since opening its flagship Mohalla restaurant in the very trendy neighbourhood of Dubai Design District in 2018, opening its first KSA outpost in Riyadh in March 2022. This latest opening will mark Mohalla’s second outlet in Saudi Arabia and its third restaurant in the Middle East.

Commenting on the announcement, Panchali Mahendra said: “Mohalla is the first homegrown Indian restaurant concept to be exported to Saudi Arabia and we are proud and delighted to have continued to expand in such a short period of time. Earlier this year, Mohalla launched in Saudi Arabia The opening of the first outpost was a stepping stone into the Saudi market, and due to the growing demand from Saudi diners and the very successful performance of Mohalla, opening a second store in Riyadh was a natural fit for us.”

“Mohalla’s new location on the Riyadh Frontline will be 20% larger than its original sister venue at the Riyadh Esplanade, accommodating 180 guests, allowing us to cater to a larger clientele. This is just the beginning of Mohalla’s journey at KSA, More stores will be opened in the Kingdom in the coming years,” added Mahendra.

Commenting on the upcoming opening, Adwait Anantwar, the brand’s chef and one of the masterminds behind Mohalla, said: “Mohalla is a restaurant that diners can visit multiple times a week without getting bored of the food, thanks to a very unpretentious and simple A diverse offering. Through extensive training, we are able to achieve incredible consistency across all Mohalla stores, which is why our guests return to Mohalla again and again to enjoy their favourite dishes.”

Mohalla’s Riyadh Front venue will align with the aesthetics of the brand’s existing stores, while also featuring new, exciting design elements that promise to transport guests to India’s eclectic streets. The menu at the new outpost will feature many of the dishes from the existing Mohalla restaurant, including popular signature dishes such as Raj Kachori, Avocado Papdi Chaat, Tender Chicken Kebab and Rayalaseema Prawn Curry, as well as some new additions to surprise and delight returning diners.
