Dubai Auto ShowThe Middle East’s largest international trade show for the automotive aftermarket industry, the industry’s biggest players will gather at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) for three days of networking and networking from today until 24 November. In addition to discovering the latest innovations and solutions, the opportunities offered include unparalleled insights from policy makers and industry insiders.
The demand for such opportunities is reflected in the growth of the event itself – following a successful resumption of live events in 2021, Automechanika Dubai 2022 will bring together 1,145 exhibitors from 53 countries eager to be part of the Middle East market. Exhibitors at Automechanika Dubai 2022 will showcase the full range of products and services for the automotive aftermarket industry, including tires and batteries; components; electronics and systems; repair and maintenance; accessories and customization, and finally car washing, maintenance and restoration.
Among the exhibitors will be a large number of UAE-based companies eager to network with new partners locally and further afield. These include Juma Al Majid Est, Dynatrade, Central Trading Company, New East General Trading and Al Shamali Auto Parts Group, as well as local industry heavyweight Emarat.

A recent report prepared for Automechanika Dubai by consultants and researchers Frost & Sullivan identified several specific opportunities in individual GCC countries. In the UAE, the influx of expatriates is expected to drive an increase in the number of vehicles on UAE roads, driving its aftermarket demand; while the country has the fastest EV adoption rate in the GCC with an estimated 2% of its fleet in the next three years % are electric vehicles.
Other regional opportunities identified in the report include high demand in Saudi Arabia driven by an increase in female drivers, Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its plans to develop tourism, manufacturing and infrastructure, while the Qatari market will benefit from an increase in fleet sales to services11 The FIFA 2022 World Cup in June boosted sales of lubricants, batteries, tires and car wash products.
Thanks to these opportunities, Automechanika Dubai also attracts exhibitors from abroad who aspire to be a part of this emerging Middle Eastern market. The exhibition will feature more than 20 dedicated country pavilions, including some for the first time, such as those of Morocco and Indonesia.
Aftermarket Growth
The automotive aftermarket in Africa is growing significantly – with rising vehicle imports and a booming spare parts market. E-commerce penetration in the region is extremely low, and face-to-face meetings remain the best way to connect with buyers. Automechanika Dubai’s popular AfriConnections event is also returning, connecting African buyers with global suppliers, this is where buyers meet key manufacturers, distributors, traders and agents and hear from industry experts about market trends and African Ideal platform for new opportunities in trade.

As a result, many suppliers are looking for new routes to market and innovative solutions. The Innovation Zone at Automechanika Dubai will showcase innovative ideas, technologies, digital solutions, autonomous vehicles, EV charging stations and components that support the ongoing transformation of the automotive industry.
Other features of the show include the Automechanika Academy, which will offer attendees the opportunity to interact with their peers, hear from industry leaders, learn about the latest trends and discover innovations in a selection of technical talks and panel discussions. Additionally, the Automechanika Dubai Awards will be held on the morning of 23 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, honoring people, businesses and products in the MENA region for their performance, customer service, sustainability, safety initiatives and achievements.
