AWJ, a fast-growing food and beverage holding group, now a Kitopi company, has announced the appointment of Mohamad Sami Ballout as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Ballout succeeds Manhal Naser, who served in the role for a decade since its inception in 2013.
Ballout’s new role is designed to strengthen AWJ’s strong foundation and take the company to new heights through strategic initiatives. AWJ operates several well-known brands including Operation Falafel, Catch 22 and Awani. The company has a strong presence in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, with franchises in New York and London.

Prior to joining AWJ, Mohamad was an advisor to the CEO of the Royal Commission of Riyadh, leading the Urban Living sector. Before that, he was Chief Operating Officer, Retail and Leisure at Emaar Economic City.
Mohamad has over 22 years of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry with extensive expertise in strategic management, property development, asset and facility management, operations management and retail strategy consulting. His extensive experience leading numerous multi-million dollar projects positions him well to drive AWJ’s growth and expansion. – trade arab news agency
