If you remember, this is not the first time Azriel has sat down with Gail. As early as 2019, Azriel joined R. Kelly and Joycelyn Savage in an attempt to clear Kelly’s name. Azriel admitted that this was a lie.
Azriel testified against R. Kelly in his trial and filed charges of physical and mental abuse. In the new interview, she told Gal that she was not honest about her relationship with the singer and claimed that he instructed her on how to answer any questions Gale might have asked her.
“Before that interview, he asked us to practice every day,” Azriel told Gal. “Practice answering questions. If he doesn’t like our answers, he will tell us exactly what to say and how to say. So whenever you mention anything about sexual preference, we all know to say,’I’m not here to talk This’.”
Azriel went on to tell Gayle that she decided to tell the truth and accused Kelly because she realized she was being manipulated and he did not love her.
“Why should I expose myself for a man who puts me in this position?” she said. “And I really have to accept and realize that this is not love, you know, love doesn’t hurt.”
As we previously reported, R. Kelly was found guilty in a sexual abuse case and is scheduled to be sentenced in March 2022.
