In the girls’ under-16 category, Club Baniyas beat Al-Jazira, who was runner-up, and Al-Ain, who was third, to claim the title. The women’s competition was also exciting, and the Banias Club fought hard to catch up and won the championship title.
Meanwhile, in the under-18 category, Baniyas swept the boys and girls, with Al Ain finishing runners-up in both categories. Al Wahda finished third, but the Baniyas were undoubtedly the stars of the show, showing their dominance on the mat and claiming multiple titles.
Following the competition, the crowning of the champion and the top three finishers in each category was held in the presence of several dignitaries, including Abdul Monem Al Hashemi, President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) (Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi), President of UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Senior Vice-President of International Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Board Member of UAEJJF Brigadier Mohammed Bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri Brigadier Mohammed Bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Vice-Chairman of Baniyas Sports and Culture Management Committee Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi Commodore Club, Khuwaiter Saeed Al Dhaheri, Board Member and Head of Individual Events, Al Ain Sports Games Club, and Asma Khadil, Board Member, Al Ain Sports Club Company.
Brigadier General Mohammed Bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri congratulated the winners and highlighted the high level of competition and the outstanding performance of the players. He said: “The performance of the athletes today reflects the status and value of the Jiu-Jitsu President Cup and demonstrates the great development of Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE. A solid foundation of qualified personnel has been laid.”
