Renowned graffiti artist Banksy has shown his latest work on buildings destroyed by Russian shelling in Ukraine. Post a photo of an artwork on Instagram showing a gymnast doing a handstand amid the rubble. The graffiti artist posted images of more murals of gymnasts among the wreckage left by the Russian shelling, with the caption “Borodyanka, Ukraine.”

Borodyanka was one of the hardest hit areas for Russian bombing of Ukraine after Moscow’s February invasion. Earlier murals found in and around the Ukrainian capital Kyiv sparked speculation that the anonymous artist was working in Ukraine.
Another, without official claims, depicts a man similar to Vladimir Putin being beaten by a child in judo. In the initial stages of the war, Russia occupied Borodyanka, about 30 miles (48 kilometers) northwest of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. It was liberated by Ukraine in April.

Banksy is one of the most famous artists in the world – while also completely anonymous. Banksy rose to fame through stencil designs near Bristol in the early 1990s, and over the years his work has appeared in Paris, New York and Park City, Utah. Banksy is often described as “elusive” and “secret”. The work of this “guerrilla street artist” is widely acclaimed.
