Renowned Asian restaurant BB Social Dining is coming to Abu Dhabi.
This popular venue has expanded from the original Dubai International Financial Centre to Time Out Dubai Market Nakheel Mall will open at Rosewood Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island later this year. An exact date has not been announced.
BB is the brainchild of Chef Alex Stumpf of Peyote Restaurant in Dubai. The restaurant is known for ditching the traditional menu format and opting to categorize dishes according to the four B’s – bag, bowl, grill and snack.
The oriental menu draws on culinary influences from Asia, the Middle East and beyond, and is designed to encourage social dining, with no distinction between appetizers and main courses. Expect dishes such as Chicken Bang Bang (a steamed toast with crispy chicken and parmesan cheese), duck ramen and truffle rib eye.
In February, the restaurant was on the list Ranked #33 on Mena’s 50 Best Restaurants list. It’s also a favorite of Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan, who visited in 2018. As the royals passed by, he shared pictures of BB bags, cauliflower popcorn, crispy sprouts and edamame hummus on his Instagram.
“After five years of strong growth and some challenges, we are proud to expand into the capital, Abu Dhabi, and further express our desire to build a homegrown brand for the people and ensure that the UAE is further recognised on the global stage for its sustainability and locality approach,” said co-founder Spero Panagakis.
BB Social Dining, which also has a branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will join Rosewood Abu Dhabi’s impressive lineup of restaurants and bars, including Dai Pai Dong, Hidden Bar, La Cava and Glo.
