Berin Tuzlić is a sound video tech designer who also prepared several comics and his music projects. We recently learned about dRUMELODY, a popular music project by Berin Tuzlić which has gained loads of viewers.
He is an inspirational person and a creative director. Furthermore, Berin Tuzlić is also a cartoonist, Artist, Composer, Animator, Drummer, and Filmmaker.

Could you tell us a bit about Mice International and how it started?
MICE International offers a unique perspective from which a multicultural team brings creativity, technology, and innovation together through a wide spectrum of skills and disciplines.
What are the goals and visions of Mice International?
The goal is to provide clients with full-potential performance and return on their investment.
How do clients get benefits from Mice International in this competitive business world?
I combined my musical project dRUMELODY with my comic iNFRA DEVIL to portray the comic’s main character on the front page of dRUMELODY’s album AERO, as well as animated her to create a music video for one of the album’s songs called Bad Sunshine.
If you were to come near the characters, you would hear the music from the album activated by a photocell. That music is nothing but the mere atmosphere of my comic and musical films.
This environment was a part of my musical performance, accompanied by animations. Therefore, I DJed and VJed at the same time.
Such different approaches to living music performance motivated the attendants to give in to their senses and to be fulfilled by the visual and sound performance. That’s what clients want for their buyers. It is sufficient for them to simply apply this “architecture” to the topic they need.
We heard about the ECHO art fair. What was the idea behind it? Could you tell our viewers more about ECHO?
Echo Dubai Festival was a brilliant festival organized to bring about a new perspective in marketing’s way of thinking since it managed to interconnect art and technology, thus raising awareness of how business in art functions today.
ECHO Art Festival was a great opportunity to combine my music, comics, product design, and animation all in one place.
How did you start your journey in the animation field?
I have been specializing in animation for 30 years and have earned many international rewards for short animated films and advertising videos. In addition, I have also done a few series of cartoons for children and adults. I have been a part of the Zagreb School of Animated Films since 1997.
dRUMELODY is a fusion of my electronic music and my visual art. With this project, I often perform at festivals and clubs.
dRUMELODY has three forms of live performance:
- Classic DJ performance
- DJ+VJ+Handsonic performance
- Drums TD KW 50 (electronic drums) + VJ
How did you develop the concept of dRUMELODY, and what inspired you?
My inspiration for dRUMELODY was born out of the new age and its new way of thinking. People’s senses have enhanced due to the everyday enhancement of technology, the internet, and artificial intelligence, which is exactly why music and visual arts have to communicate differently today. People seem to want more than just art. They want the entire experience. Some of the music includes Hyberbola, Take Money Baby, etc.
What message do you want to share with the world through dRUMELODY?
The message dRUMELODY is trying to send for people to see and hear what’s new on the menu!
Preparing short films requires creativity. Where do you get inspiration from when it comes to creating animated short films?
The inspiration for my short animated films is all around us. We live in vivid times where so much information is available to us. I do not want to offend anyone with the content of my short animated films.
What are your views on using advanced technology when it comes to creating art and designs?
My outlook on the usage of technology is highly positive. It’s because I believe that the development of technology has contributed to the development of art, in addition to the development of new channels of communication.
What hurdles did you face in your animation career, and how did you overcome them?
I overcame any obstacle through hard work, learning, and practice, which was motivated by my love for art. Practice is the mother of learning.
How do you feel about adding your songs to the 15 global compilations? After all, it’s such a big accomplishment!
Compilations of my electronic music are a huge success which can be seen through my performances at various festivals, such as the Ultra Festival in Split, held in front of 150 000 attendants.
Could you tell us about a memorable incident in your animation or advertising projects?
One of many unusual anecdotes I would like to mention is that I wrote out the timing for animations with drum notes since musical notes for percussion are written as melodic notes but function as mathematical fractions.
