Beyoncé canceled her Renaissance World Tour in Pittsburgh, scheduled for Aug. 3; a decision that disappointed and upset the city’s mayor, Ed Ganey.

“PITTSBURGH – We are deeply disappointed by the news that Beyoncé has canceled her Aug. 3 show. We are fully prepared to welcome her to Pittsburgh and honor her visit and accomplishments with an official day,” the mayor wrote road.
He further stated: “We are in conversations with the promoter of the event to understand what led to the cancellation and if there is anything we can do as a city to find a new date or location for her show.”
