ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari spoke by phone with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday and assessed the damage caused by flooding in the country.

Meanwhile, Bilawal tweeted that he had spoken with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan about the flood situation in Pakistan and thanked the UAE for sending Pakistan Humanitarian aid to people affected by floods.

A total of 11 such relief flights were received from the UAE to deliver relief supplies to people affected by the catastrophic floods, he said. “We thank the UAE government and people for their support and solidarity during these severe times of crisis,” he added.
Two series of humanitarian aid flights from Qatar were also received at Karachi Jinnah International Airport. Humanitarian aid includes food baskets, tents and hygiene kits.
