Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose sparked speculation of their engagement.
The 61-year-old singer – who split from his wife Tish Cyrus in April after 30 years – is thought to have raised the issue with the Australian singer after she was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring.
A source told The Sun’s Strange column: “Billy is happier than ever at Firerose for a long time.
“His marriage was in trouble for a while.
“He and Tish had been on and off for the better part of a decade, but things were over for a while before the April announcement.”
Billy Ray teamed up with Firerose on the single “New Day” last year, and the couple have been spending a lot of time together recently, documenting it on social media.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” producer shared a photo of the pair on Instagram earlier this month.
He wrote in the caption: “Walking around in our trailer, taking a break. Counting our blessings. Sending love and harmony your way.”
Billy Ray and Tish – who have fathers Noah, 22, Bryson, 28, Miley, 29, Trace, 33 and Brandi, 35 – five months ago Confirmed their breakup, admitting they broke up “with love”.
In a joint statement, they said: “After 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to part ways – not with grief, but with the love in our hearts.
“We grew up together and built a family that we are proud of, and it’s time to forge our own path.

“We didn’t make this decision lightly or quickly, but with so much going on in the world, we wanted to provide some clarity and closure so we could continue to focus on what’s important.”
Actress and producer Tish, 55, filed for separation from the musician in Tennessee a week before the breakup was confirmed, according to court documents.
Billy Ray’s team declined to comment when asked about the engagement.
