Bombardier breaks ground on Abu Dhabi service center,

  • Located at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the service facility will be an important hub for Bombardier Business Aircraft customers in the Middle East
  • Nearly 100,000-square-foot MRO facility will provide fast and efficient maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for all Bombardier business aircraft
  • The Abu Dhabi service center will be part of a comprehensive infrastructure expansion for Bombardier, more than doubling its global aftermarket footprint to nearly 1 million square feet.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Dec. 6, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bombardier today announced that it has officially broken ground for its new service center at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The new facility is Bombardier’s first full-service facility in the UAE and builds on its longstanding commitment to customers in this key market. When operating at full capacity, the new OEM operations service facility will also add more than 100 aerospace jobs to the community, strengthening Bombardier’s position in this important financial center. The new facility is scheduled to open in 2025 and once fully operational will help Bombardier continue to expand and increase its aftermarket revenue beyond 2025.

Bombardier’s new Abu Dhabi service center will feature a large hangar, comprehensive parts depot and a full suite of maintenance services, including scheduled and unscheduled overhauls, aircraft modifications, paint modifications, Aircraft On Ground (AOG) capabilities and aircraft parking service.

The new facility will also be able to accommodate up to four Global 7500 aircraft – and will be able to serve the new age Bombardier flagship, Global 8000When it enters service in 2025, it will provide Bombardier’s customers in the region and around the world with the ultimate maintenance solution Learjet, challenger and Global Airplane family.
