Boris Becker is teaching Greek philosophy to inmates | DayDayNews

[ad_1]

Boris Becker is teaching Greek philosophy to his fellow prisoners.

The 54-year-old German tennis legend was jailed for two-and-a-half years in April for fraudulently hiding £2.5m of assets to avoid debt repayments, which he is reported to have given to him at HMP Huntercombe in Oxfordshire. The inmate took a philosophy class and one source said he was the “perfect” person to teach it.

The source said: “Boris went from superstar to bankrupt prison inmate over the course of a few years. It was a significant fall from grace and he was forced to look at everything about himself. He was the perfect course to teach that. “

If Boris signs on to star in “I’m a Celebrity…get Me Out of Here” when he is released in 2024, it will spread his knowledge across the country, according to people familiar with the matter. .

An insider told The Sun: “There’s a popular joke that in a year or two he’ll be hyping Stoicism on ‘I’m a celebrity’! He’s a popular guy. People know he’s been through a lot.”

Just a few weeks ago, the sports star was said to have been giving exercise lessons to his fellow inmates and became a “popular” member of the prison.

Becker’s lawyer, Oliver Moser, told German media: “Given the current situation, our client, Boris Becker, is still doing well and has integrated constructively into everyday prison life.”

Boris is said to have his own private cell and his behavior in prison has been described as impeccable.

A close friend said: “He was very popular with his fellow inmates.”

A source close to Becker said the six-time Grand Slam champion worked out at the gym and lost 18 pounds, while he taught 45 inmates fitness, nutrition, crisis management and a special type of yoga and meditation.

An insider told The Sun: “As an athlete, he knows where he wins.

“He shared his life experiences with fellow inmates.”
