Botim launches first Arabic chat GPT in Middle East

Mena’s leading consumer technology holding group Astra Tech (Astra), leveraging the expertise of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), has launched the first Arabic chat GPT in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). It ushers in a new era of AI-driven solutions in the region. GPT integrated into Botim applications has the potential to revolutionize access to services through conversational commerce.

Botim’s Arabic Chat GPT is an artificial intelligence driven platform that will meet the needs of all Botim services, ensuring that the information provided is always up-to-date and accurate by continuously obtaining the latest information from the local market.

Botim GPT has the potential to revolutionize the Middle East by providing services as diverse as international remittances, bill payments, government services, and weather forecasts. The platform is under development and will be expanded to include additional services such as Botim stores and healthcare services in the coming months, making it the ultimate one-stop shop for users in the region.

Abdallah Abu Sheikh, co-founder and CEO of Botim’s parent company, Astra Tech, said: “Botim’s Arabic Chat GPT marks another important step towards simplifying people’s daily lives and transforming the global tech industry, while strengthening our A feature coming soon for the Ultra app.We are very excited to be able to use MBZUAI’s Arabic language modeling experts to try out the service on Botim for our selected users while we train our models.

“The Middle East is expected to experience 20% annual growth in AI by 2030, with the UAE leading the region with an average annual growth rate of almost 35%. We are excited to be at the forefront of technological innovation and create through local academic collaborations new opportunities.”

Initially, Botim GPT will be available to select segments of its 100+ million user base, with gradual expansion to follow in the near future.
