“The referee and the match commissioner will submit a report to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee, which will decide the next steps. These procedures strictly comply with current regulations.”

Just a few hours after the Brazilian health authorities stated that four players in the Argentina team in England should be “immediately quarantined” for violating the COVID-19 agreement, they made a surprising intervention.

According to the Brazilian National Health Inspection Agency (ANVISA), Premier League players Giovanni Loscelso, Emiliano Martinez, Emiliano Buendia and Cristian Romero are entering Brazil Provided “false information” at the time.

A government order dating back to June 23 prohibits any foreigners from Britain, India or South Africa from entering Brazilian territory to prevent the spread of variants of the coronavirus.

“ANVISA believes that this situation represents a serious health risk and recommends that (São Paulo) local health authorities order the immediate quarantine of players, prohibiting them from participating in any activities and staying on Brazilian territory,” the agency said earlier on Sunday. The statement said.

ANVISA stated that the Brazilian Federal Police has been notified to “take necessary measures immediately.”

Argentina coach Lionel Scaroni slammed the Brazilian authorities after the suspension of the game.

“It makes me feel very sad-we are victims because we want to play this game, the Brazilian players want to play, and this show is about to be staged,” Scaloni told Argentina’s TyCSports channel.

Scaroni said that this game “should be a gathering for everyone to enjoy the game with the best players in the world.”

The dispute occurred after nine Brazilians in the Premier League failed to travel to South America due to opposition from the club.
