First: Roger “RD” Brumfield of Huntington took first place. He recently wrote his first book, a biography titled “Operation Light.” The espionage thriller is available in paperback on Amazon and has earned the No. 1 New Release title. Congratulations to RD for a job well done.
Gathering: The Westmoreland Neighborhood Association is holding a meetup at the Westmoreland Women’s Club Building on Monday, March 20 at 6:30 pm. The agenda focuses on preparing for spring and summer by identifying problem properties and addressing how Westmoreland residents can be the best advocates for preserving property values while helping their neighbors. Giggle: When Albert Einstein was touring the circuits of loudspeakers, he usually found himself eager to get back to work in his lab. One night, as they were driving to another rubber chicken dinner, Einstein mentioned to his driver (a man who looked and acted a bit like Einstein) that he was tired of lectures. “I have an idea, boss,” said his driver. “I’ve heard you give a speech like that many times. I bet I could give it to you.” Einstein laughed and said, “Why not? Let’s do it!” When they arrived at the dinner party, Love Einstein put on his driver’s hat and jacket and sat in the back of the room. The driver beautifully interpreted Einstein’s speech and answered a few questions deftly. Then a pompous professor asks an extremely esoteric question about the formation of antimatter, rambling on and letting everyone in there know he’s no fool. The driver glared at the professor without hesitation, and said, “Sir, the answer to this question is very simple. I will let the driver sitting in the back seat answer it for me.”
