The Center for African American History, Arts and Culture will host a haunted night with the Aiken Symphony on Friday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m.

CAAHAC will collaborate with the Aiken Symphony Orchestra for the first concert in a series of three concerts. Center staff and volunteers will offer building tours and free candy for everyone in costume. Starting at 7pm, the quintet will begin a concert on the second floor featuring some spooky options in preparation for Halloween.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to wear their scariest costumes.

The Aiken Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit IRS 501 (c)(3) organization that has brought a huge boost to Aiken’s musical culture. ASO represents an ensemble of some of the finest professional classical instrumentalists from South Carolina and Georgia. The Aiken Symphony greatly adds to the vibrancy and maturity Aiken needs to attract new businesses, employees, visitors and recently retired people to our community.

CAAHAC is also a nonprofit IRS 501 (c)(3) organization whose mission is to be an educational resource that supports Aiken’s diversity and sense of community. This is accomplished by providing high-quality leadership and development to preserve the history of African American culture throughout Aiken and Aiken County. The center is actively involved in educational and public programming, while collaborating with other community organizations.
