Flowers, beards, banners, hearts… on his first visit to Chile to wrap up the Viña del Mar International Song Festival on Friday (February 24), Camelot Welcomed by the so-called “monsters” (spectators) at the Quinta Vergara, they received gifts, cheers and applause. They all sang along to hits including “Kesi,” “Pegao,” and “Índigo.”
Dressed in white trousers and a tank top, barefoot, the Colombian singer-songwriter, with his signature simplicity and good vibes, had an audience of 15,000 dance along the central coast of Valparaíso, proving yet again why he conquered a growing International follower of the “Tribe” of the 2000. The audience rewarded him with two Gaviotas (festival prizes), one gold and one silver.

“Good evening Binha. Good evening Chile. Good evening Tribe,” Camilo said shortly after the opening. “I’ve been dreaming of this moment for years. I grew up watching concerts of my favorite artists at home [in Colombia] Here, in Viña del Mar”.
Accompanied by his band, Camilo sang over 15 songs, including “Favorito”, “Tutu” and “Vida de Rico”.his wife, singer and actress Evaluna MontanerJoining him on “Por Primera Vez” and “Macchu Pichu”, they reappear later and end the set with their song “Índigo”.
Before arriving in Viña, Camilo started his second leg of the De Adentro Pa Afuera Tour in Argentina. The tour will continue on March 1-2 at the Movistar Arena in Santiago de Chile and will take him to Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico until the end of May.

‘Tribe’ captures Quinta Vergara
It may traditionally be called “el monstruo” (monster), but at Camilo’s performance at the Viña del Mar festival on Friday, the audience at Quinta Vergara was undeniably part of the “tribe” — As the Colombian artist puts it, rabid fans. From children to teens, the young and the not-too-young, the love for the singer is felt in the form of mustaches that allude to Camillo’s famous features (some natural, some fake ), banners with love messages, soft toys, flowers and more. During one of his interactions with the Chilean audience, Camilo urged his fans not to waste time trying to be someone they’re not. “A lot of people want us to look like other people,” he said. “We have other people’s abs, a certain number of followers and likes, as if that makes us more valuable.” You have to be yourself, he emphasize. Cherish who you are and live in the moment.
Camilo and Evaluna radiate pure love
Camilo shows his best every time he takes the stage, but there is definitely something special when he shares it with his wife, Evaluna, and Viña del Mar is no exception. The couple delighted Quinta Vergara’s “Monster” with their duet “Por Primera Vez” and “Machu Picchu.” Evaluna looked radiant in a black top and black trousers as Camilo gushed, “My wife is so beautiful,” kissing her sweetly. “Applause for my Guajitamother,” he added, referring to their 10-month-old daughter Índigo, using Chilean baby terminology. The song ends the show.
