Canada lifts COVID vaccine entry rules for foreign travelers – report | World News

Canada will reportedly drop its COVID-19 vaccine requirement for people entering the country.

The Globe and Mail said it had four sources confirming that the Canadian government plans to repeal the rule on September 30.

The country’s cabinet has yet to finalize changes to land, air and seaport arrivals, the sources said.

The move will apparently take place on the same day that random testing of arrivals ends and becomes available on the ArriveCan app, which currently requires foreign travelers to download and use the app to upload vaccination documents, the paper said.

Back in February, Canada’s capital, Ottawa, Deadlock as truckers protest for weeksangry with the new Coronavirus disease Legislation requires people crossing the busy U.S.-Canada border to be fully vaccinated.

Foreign travellers arriving in the UK no longer need to be vaccinated, fill out a passenger locator form or take a COVID test.
