roommate, Cardi B Thank you to her legal team, judges and all her supporters after she beat YouTuber Tasha K for defamation and libel for millions. In an official statement posted to social media, Cardi B detailed how her four-year court battle with Tasha K has affected her mentally and emotionally.
Cardi B didn’t hold back when posting on Instagram she explained How harmful the case was, and how grateful she was that it turned out in her favor:
“After nearly four years of much slander and slander against me, it makes me very happy to be able to emerge from this victory…During this trial, you all learned about the darkest period of my life. That moment was fueled by the vile, disgusting and downright false narratives that have been relentlessly shared online. I thought I would never be heard or proven right, I felt completely helpless and vulnerable. “
Cardi continued, adding: “I have never taken my fame for granted the platform I have, which is why I have invested over three years all the resources I have had to seek justice. Not just Do justice for me. The truth is that the intentional harm done to me is harming countless people every day. The only difference between me and a high school student who was cyberbullied and cheated by my classmates was the money and resources I had access to. We have to collectively say enough is enough.”
Meanwhile, Tasha K responded to being ordered to pay Cardi B $3.8 million, announcing that she plans to discuss the court case and verdict on her YouTube channel later this week.
