Cardi B wins $1.25 million in defamation lawsuit against Tasha K

As Tasha K responded Losing Cardi B’s defamation lawsuit Against her, it’s time to “get back to work”. According to circulating court documents, the jury awarded Cardi a large sum of money because Tasha K lied to her. Tasha, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, and her company, Kebe Studios LLC, must pay Cardi $1.25 million.

Tasha K found guilty

Tasha and her company were found responsible for defamation, invasion of privacy through false depictions, and willful emotional distress. Cardi was awarded $1 million in general damages, including “pain and pain and/or damage to reputation.” The jury also awarded Cardi $250,000 in medical bills, though the virus court documents did not detail the exact cost.

Tasha responded on her social media shortly after news of the initial loss broke.

“My husband, lawyer and I really work hard,” Tasha tweeted. “I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it just came up from here. See you in a few days. Back to work.”

As previously reported, Cardi filed a lawsuit against Tasha K in 2019. The decision comes after Cardi made multiple attempts to shut down Tasha K’s false story about the rapper. The false stories included allegations that Cardi contracted several sexually transmitted infections, including herpes. Tasha also accused the Bronx native of committing sexually explicit acts, such as having sex with a beer bottle, during her time as a stripper. She also accused the mother and wife of cheating on her husband Offset.

Additionally, the artist says she suffers from fatigue, anxiety, weight loss and migraines from the constant rebound. She even sought therapy to deal with the chaos.
