Inaugural National Movie Day is coming after National Association of Theater Owners nonprofit Cinéfondation announces discount day Aims to increase movie theater attendance. That means you’ll be able to get $3 movie tickets and a few other goodies on Saturday, September 3rd.
All AMC, Cinemark and Regal locations in the U.S. will offer $3 tickets for all formats including 4DX, ScreenX, IMAX and RPX on September 3rd. AMC is also offering a $5 fountain drink and popcorn combo.
In addition, seven theaters at Far Away Entertainment in Western Washington will offer discounted tickets and free popcorn upgrades. In addition to discounted tickets, the Shanghai International Film Festival will also offer a 10% discount for new members, who can get 25 free popcorn orders throughout the year. Issaquah’s Big Picture and Ballard’s Majestic Bay Theatres will also offer $3 screening fees. The $3 fare does not include taxes or convenience fees.
