Frontman Drew Taggart admitted on Wednesday’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast that stars invite strangers to bed. There were “very few” and “not many proposals,” he added.
The band’s DJ, Alex Pall, said the first such encounter was “never planned” and “weird”.
“I think we were like, ‘What the fuck just happened?'” Pall told host Alex Cooper.
Taggart explained how the environment encourages threesomes.
“It was also the days when we used to have to share hotel rooms,” Taggart said. “In Europe, they have two beds—they don’t even separate them. So we’re almost forced into these scenes.”
Pall says it’s been “a long time” since he and his bandmates have been in a threesome together. Taggart says he and Pall never “hooked up a die-hard fan”—or at least “nobody was wearing merchandise or anything.”
Four years later, Pall split from influencer Tori Woodward in 2018. He told Cooper that she had spied on him using a camera-equipped pet food dispenser she bought him.
“It was like, ‘Oh my god, I was being watched by this goddamn pet camera for seven months,'” he said. “I got close to it and she blacked out the recording light with a marker and covered it with a perfectly cut piece of electrical tape.”
Ball said he “lost his mind” during the “unhealthy” relationship. He said he was an optimist who had a hard time “sticking with it” when the time came to break up.
