This week, the multinational leadership team of the World Association of Chefs gathers in Abu Dhabi for Upfield’s #MakeItPlant’s commitment to more sustainable plant-based options on menus worldwide.
Leading a committee representing the world’s 110 official chef associations and 10 million chefs worldwide, the renowned culinary leader made a commitment at the ongoing Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2022 with Reinier Weerman, Upfield’s Regional General Manager MENA.
“Sooner or later the world needs to wake up, so this initiative is very important,” Thomas Gugler, president of the World Chefs Association, said at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. “We need to move in this ‘greener’ direction for future generations, not only to have healthier lifestyles, but also to respect nature.
