On Monday, Cuomo thanked his team and supporters on Twitter, but said he would withdraw from his radio show,”Let us follow it with Chris Cuomo. “
“The way I ended up on CNN was very difficult,” Cuomo tweeted. “Although I have a thick-skinned face, I also have family members. The past week has been extremely difficult for them.”
He continued, “I will miss our conversation very much-but I look forward to reconnecting with you in the future.”
SiriusXM issued a statement saying: “After Chris Cuomo announced that he will leave his SiriusXM show,’Let’s Get After It’ will no longer be broadcast. We thank Chris for his work at SiriusXM.”
As we previously reported, new documents issued by the New York Attorney General’s Office show that Cuomo allegedly used his media sources to obtain information about his brother’s accuser. He is said to be in contact with Andrew’s senior assistant.
“The New York Attorney General’s Office released transcripts and evidence on Monday, providing new clues to Chris Cuomo’s involvement in his brother’s defense,” CNN said in a statement Tuesday evening. “We were unaware of these documents before they were publicly released, which caused serious problems.”
He was fired because of his behavior. In a statement, CNN Said, “Chris Cuomo was suspended earlier this week awaiting further evaluation of new information regarding his involvement in his brother’s defense. We hired a respected law firm to conduct a review and have fired him with immediate effect. The statement continued: “During the review process, additional information has been exposed. Despite the termination, we will conduct an appropriate investigation.”
