Clyde, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The city of Clyde will host its first Oktoberfest next weekend! This Germany-based festival will feature food, entertainment, games, vendors, an inflatable festival and more.
With more than two dozen vendors next weekend, there’s no shortage of food options such as sweet apple pie and sauerkraut kid, and plenty of places to shop. For children, the “Kinderberieich Children’s Area” hosts an inflatable festival.
Local performers are scheduled on both days according to the following schedule:
October 15
- Evelyn Billington: 10:45am, 3:15pm and 7:45pm
- Tanzenfest Volkstanzkreis Folk Dancers: 12:00pm, 4:30pm and 9:00pm
- Valina Polka and That’s Funny: 12:45 pm, 5:15 pm and 9:00 pm
October 16
- Evelyn Billington: 12:00pm and 4pm
- Tanzenfest Volkstanzkreis Folk Dancers: 1:15pm and 5:15pm
- Valina Polka and that’s fun: 2:00pm and 5:15pm
Doors open at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, and the festival begins with an official knock on the coffin barrel with city officials. The festival will end at 8:00 pm and will be open on Sunday, October 16th from noon to 6:00 pm.
