The inaugural UAE edition of the internationally acclaimed Classic Car Rally will take place from December 4th to 8th, with 100 teams crossing all seven emirates.
The event kicked off at Dubai Creek Golf Club on Tuesday night, and organisers said they planned to 1000 Mile Experience UAE To be the largest regular classic car event in the GCC region.
A smaller, two-day event with 44 participants took place in February, and fans got a glimpse of the rally.

“In these areas, for the first time, it will be possible to see the often closed car parade in museums and garages of private collections,” said Alberto Piantoni, chief executive of 100 Miglia.
“This is the first step in showing our present nearly 100-year history.
“These are not just cars, they are works of art.”
Dubai Creek Golf Club is where the race begins, with competitors arriving at the finish line in Abu Dhabi in a few days.
The annual 1000 Miglia race is held in Italy and is hailed as “the most beautiful race in the world” by classic car enthusiasts.
The event was originally intended to be held as part of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, but was postponed due to the pandemic.
Parade of classic cars
The vehicles on display date back to 1927 and are driven by drivers from teams around the world.
Cars are currently being shipped to the UAE from places including the UK, US, Germany, Italy, India, Switzerland and Lebanon.
The race will involve competitors traversing a 1,600km route, allowing riders to see some of the UAE’s most famous sights.
The first day of the event, December 4, will serve as an open day, where fans can come to watch the racing.
Teams participating in the race will also receive training and advice on what to expect during the rally.
The drivers will then set off from the starting line on December 5 and the rally will conclude on December 8 at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The first 1000 Miglia race was held in Italy in December 1926. The event takes place on more than 1,000 kilometers of open roads.
The inaugural Emirates Edition is an invitation-only event for 100 drivers from “landmark cars, from legendary classics to modern iconic supercars, from around the world”.
