Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Mubadala Health partner Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has appointed Elizabeth Govero, with more than 20 years of clinical nursing and leadership experience, as its new Chief Nursing Officer.
Before joining the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi, Govero served as Vice President of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital MissouriHer accomplishments include building and leading a 900-person nursing team, leading the organization-wide transition of the new system rollout, and implementing various prestigious educational institutions and programs. In her most recent role, she was able to reduce nurse turnover from 35% to 15% in six months and increase peer engagement from 76% to 93% in one year. She has worked in various multi-specialty healthcare settings and is an expert in inpatient care, critical care, telemedicine and patient satisfaction.

Govero received his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees in Healthcare and Nursing Administration from Southern Illinois University. She is a certified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. She has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented at several conferences.
