The fourth roundtable was chaired by Chief Minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar to engage property developers in the proposed global city of Dubai Gurugram in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) today.
The UAE real estate community has given valuable input and shown interest in this global city, the state’s mega urban development focused on planning and designing sustainable cities. CM had earlier held similar meetings with Indian business companies in Gurugram and Mumbai.

- Greater planning flexibility for developers
- Develop landmark projects such as international financial service centers and universities
- Different development and project staging strategies that may be employed by HSIIDC
- Payment mechanisms and forms of government support that may be offered to investors
Vikas Gupta, Managing Director of Haryana Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corporation (HSIIDC), presented a detailed report on the proposed project. He stressed that the global city will be a mixed land use project and is expected to be developed into a ‘city within a city’ of over 1,080 acres along the 8-lane Dwarka Expressway under construction in Districts 36B, 37A and 37B in Gurugram.
According to MD HSIIDC, the project’s motto is “Live, Work and Play”, and it envisions offering futuristic workspaces, modern retail spaces, residential towers, carefully crafted green spaces and dedicated transit corridors, a multimodal mass rapid transit system Connection options (subway) and heliport facilities.
The presentations highlighted topics such as contemporary planning methods, transit-oriented development and unique value propositions to investors, including first-mover advantage, high return potential, investment security, and more.
Following the presentation, real estate developers provided input on topics such as planning, infrastructure, marketing, positioning and support required for HSIIDC.
