The UAE President congratulated General Munir on his appointment as Pakistan Army Chief of Staff.
DUBAI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, called on United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday, according to Dunya News. Al Nahyan).
Speaking at the meeting at Qasr Al Shati Palace, Sheikh Mohammed congratulated General Munir on his appointment as Pakistan Army Chief of Staff and wished him every success in his new duties in the service of the country and its people. Munir expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the UAE-Pakistan partnership and joint work in defense and military affairs, and ways to strengthen them to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries.
Earlier, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir held talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman.
The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations beyond issues of mutual concern. Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman was also in attendance, along with other Saudi and Pakistani officials.
During the meeting, the Saudi Crown Prince congratulated General Asim Munir on his appointment as Pakistan Army Chief of Staff. They also agreed to strengthen bilateral relations.
A day earlier, Pakistan’s army chief performed Umrah and prayed in the holy Kaaba.
