Lawton, Oklahoma (KSWO) – Comanche National Amusement Company kicked off its annual toy drive last week with the goal of helping Santa stock up on his sleigh!
Now through December 15, the Comanche Nation Casino in Lawton and the Comanche Red River Hotel Casino in Devol will be picking up gifts every Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 10pm
Walters’ Comanche Star Casino, Elgin’s Comanche Spur Casino and Devol’s Comanche War Pony Casino will also be accepting gifts Sunday and Monday through December 12 from noon to 10pm
Event officials invite guests to drop off new and unwrapped toys at designated drop-off locations within each casino.
Plus, every Rewards Club member who donates toys worth between $5 and $25 and can show a receipt will receive double the Comanche Credit donation.
“This time of year is an opportunity not only to spread joy in our community, but also to bring everyone together for a common purpose. We all want to give each child a gift under the tree, said Mia Tahdooahnippah, CEO of Comanche Nation Entertainment. “Toy cars have become a tradition for our team. Every year, we strive to make the holidays a little better for children and families in need.”
Over the past two years, the event has raised more than $40,000 in donations to fund the outreach efforts of organizations and nonprofits in Southwest Oklahoma, including Team Jayden Foundation, Comanche State Police , Comanche Country and Fletcher Christmas Store.
