The ninth annual Covenanter Scottish Festival returned to Quarryville Saturday, celebrating all things from Scotland.
Activities included sheep and duck herding, performances from Celtic musicians and the ever-popular Highland Games, with competitions like the caber toss to the Braemar Stone toss. There was also a performance from the Washington Memorial Pipe Band, and the day’s main stage events concluded with a haggis ceremony.
The festival and games took place on the grounds of Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church and Octorara Covenanter Presbyterian Church.
